3D printing, edible and personal? Only in Japan!

On your next Valentine’s Day, you can give a gummy replica of yourself to that very special someone. Now, that is what they do in Japan.
Tokyo’s FabCafe, a coffee shop and 3D printing center in Shibuya, recently offered a unique service to nine lucky customers to create a 3D-printed gummy version of them. For White Day – a Japanese follow-up to Valentine’s Day-Customers made colorful chocolate replica of their bodies using the café’s 3D body scanner.
In Japan, girls and women presenting chocolate gifts to boys or men as an expression of love, courtesy, or social obligation typically observe Valentine’s Day. On White Day, the reverse happens. Men who received a ‘chocolate of love’ from their loved ones on Valentine’s Day give gifts in return.
